In celebration of the new year, and in hopes of establishing some good new years' habits, the Wife and I went hiking (also, she made some awesome french toast for New Years' breakfast that we had to walk off). So we swept the kids off to Grandpa & Grandma's and headed down to Minor Park, just off Holmes & Red Bridge Rd.
We were running low on daylight, so we only hiked about a mile out and a mile back to the car, but the trails there are quite nice, meandering in and out of sight of the Blue River, and even climbing a few respectable hills to get some nice views of the surrounding valley.
Portions of the trail are open to mountain biking and horse riding.
