I had a spare couple hours on a business daytrip to Denver yesterday, so I went to
Hayden Park on Green Mountain . The thin Colorado air made ascending the 660 feet to the summit a real chore (surely it wasn't my being out of shape). A snowstorm was settling in on the Rockies, so views of the mountains were limited, but the hogback foothills were spectacular enough for this Midwesterner. Would love to have taken in a sunrise or sunset.
Felt great to stretch the legs. I estimate my loop was about 5.25 miles.
